Emirates Technologies Signs Up As A Market Data Vendor On Dubai International Financial Exchange

The Dubai International Financial Exchange has signed Emirates Technologies LLC, a UAE company, as a market data vendor. The agreement was signed by Mr. Nasser Al Shaali, Chief Operating Officer of DIFX and Mr. Abdul Rahim Sultan, General Manager of Emirates Technologies. Emirates Technologies aims to be the first company to introduce online trading for brokers on the DIFX market through mobile phones. Dow Jones Indexes, a leading global index provider, today announced that CBOT Holdings Inc. (symbol: BOT, Class A shares) and Nasdaq Stock Market Inc. (symbol: NDAQ), will be added to the Dow Jones Global Exchange Index effective as of the opening of trading on Monday, December 19, 2005.

CBOT Metals Complex Volume Surpasses 20,000 Contracts

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) announced today that volume in its Metals Complex climbed to a new record on Monday, December 12, reaching 22,384 contracts and eclipsing the prior record of 16,954 contracts set on December 9. Additionally, individual contract volume within the Metals Complex continued to climb, with several contracts setting new records on the same day.

Warsaw Exchange Announces The WIG Index New All-time High

WIG, all-share index, closed at its highest ever level since its launch in April 1991. The market benchmark reached today the new all time high with 34,497.14 points. The previous record was set on December 7, 2005 with 34,481.24.

On the listing day of December 8, while a special bid quote was being displayed, a large sell order by Mizuho Securities Co. (below Mizuho Sec.) caused the price of J-COM Co., Ltd. (below J-COM) shares to quickly drop to 572,000 yen, the lower share price limit, after the initial price was determined at 672,000 yen. The share price then reversed and suddenly rose to the upper limit of 772,000 yen. During this period, a large amount of executions were made at the lower price limit.
