  • European Commission - Football Clubs: France Warned Over Ban On Stock Market Listing

    The European Commission has decided to ask France formally to modify its legislation preventing football and other sports clubs from being listed on stock markets. It views this as an unjustified barrier to the free movement of capital, in breach of the EC Treaty (Article 56).   • Deutsche Börse: Scenario Calculation For The Equity Indices - Changes In The Equity Indices Effective On 19 December

    Effective on 19 December, new weights will apply for the companies in the equity indices of Deutsche Börse. Deutsche Börse released the preliminary weighting figures on Wednesday. The preliminary data can be downloaded from the Deutsche Börse website (www.deutsche-boerse.com). The final figures based on Friday’s Xetra closing prices will be published at the Deutsche Börse website on Saturday.

  • Copenhagen Stock Exchange Selects New MidCap+ And SmallCap+ Portfolios

    The Copenhagen Stock Exchange has just selected the shares to be included in the future MidCap+ and SmallCap+ portfolios, which will be effective from January 1, 2006 until June 30, 2006. Compared with today’s portfolios, three more companies have qualified for the plus segments, which will then comprise 63 companies.
