UK's Financial Services Authority Appoints New Compensation Scheme Board Chairman

The Financial Services Authority today announced the appointment of David Hall as the new Chairman of the Board of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) for a fixed period to 31 March 2009. He will take up his appointment on 1 March 2006, succeeding Nigel Hamilton.

Today, the Tokyo Grain Exchange (TGE) announced today that the Exchange submitted the application for the approval of the amendments to the Articles of Incorporation, Market Administrative Bylaws and other regulations for the pilot listing of rice futures trading to Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan (MAFF).

Thai Exchange Guides Listed Firms On Information Disclosure

Executive Vice President of The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), Mr. Suthichai Chitvanich, said in the seminar on “Appropriate Disclosure” held today (Dec. 9) that the SET has been encouraging listed companies to disclose information appropriately.
