  • UK: Macrory Regulatory Penalties Review Interim Report Published

    An Independent review of penalties for failure to comply with regulatory obligations today published its interim report for consultation. The review, commissioned by the Government as part of its radical programme of regulatory reform, proposes to introduce a more flexible, proportionate and transparent tool-kit designed to ensure better regulatory compliance.

    Thailand Securities Depository Co., Ltd. (TSD) imposes a custody fee for securities with less than one month’s maturity and withdrawal of bonds pledged as collateral with Bank of Thailand.

  • Thai Depository Improves Rules On Clearing And Settlement Default

    To further bolster the market’s reliability, Thailand Securities Depository Co. Ltd. (TSD) will apply new rates for defaults caused by member companies’ operational errors, starting July 1, 2006. The new buy-in requirement for default settlement will be in effect from Oct. 2, 2006. Furthermore, the collateral requirement for fractional settlement default will be rounded up to a board lot.

  • Thai Depository Exempts Tsunami Recovery Fund From Fees

    Ms. Nongram Wongwanich, President of Thailand Securities Depository Co. Ltd. (TSD), announced that, on May 22, 2006, TSD Board of Directors passed a resolution exempting the Tsunami Recovery Fund from all depository service and clearing fees, in support of the state-initiated project. The exemption applies from May 15, 2006.
