CME To Host European Inflation Summit June 28 In London

CME, the world's largest and most diverse financial exchange, today announced that it will host its first Inflation Summit in Europe on Wednesday, June 28, from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. at The Captain's Room, Lloyds. The CME Inflation Summit will bring together buy and sellside market participants and sovereign issuers to discuss the approximately euro 500 billion ($638 billion) European inflation-linked market.

CME Sets Trading Volume Records In Key Equity Index Contracts - Total Volume Of 7.9 Million Fifth Highest Day Ever

CME, the world’s largest and most diverse financial exchange, today reported record trading volume of 1,921,351 contracts in its benchmark CME® E-mini® S&P 500® futures contract, overtaking the previous record of 1,874,814 contracts set on May 17, 2006. The CME E-mini Russell 2000® futures reached a trading volume record of 289,016 contracts, surpassing the previous record of 255,528 traded on December 12, 2005, as well as a new open interest record of 418,648 contracts.

CBOT® Mini-Sized Dow<SUP>sm</SUP> Futures Set Daily Volume Record As Total Surpasses 200,000 Contracts For The First Time - Exchange Also Sets Volume Records In Equity Futures Complex As Total Exchange Open Interest Reaches New High Mark

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) announced today that its $5 mini-sized Dow Jonessm futures contract set a record on Wednesday, as volume climbed to 218,495 contracts at the close of trading. The previous record, 195,084 contracts, was set on May 17, 2006. The Exchange also set a record for total Exchange-wide open interest. The new open interest record, 17,230,667 contracts, tops the previous record of 17,188,794 contracts set the day before.

Capitalia Joins EuroGlobalMTS As Volumes Reach Record Levels

EuroGlobalMTS, the market dedicated to the euro-denominated government securities of non-EU member States, is pleased to announce that Capitalia S.p.A. has become a Market Maker, increasing the total number of dealers supporting liquidity in the EuroGlobalMTS market to 18. In addition, volumes continue to grow and reached a daily record of €69 million this week.

London Stock Exchange Group plc (the “Group”) became the new holding company of London Stock Exchange plc (the “Exchange”) with effect from 15 May 2006 as a result of the scheme of arrangement approved by shareholders at the Court Meeting and Extraordinary General Meeting held on 19 April 2006. Following the scheme of arrangement, previous shareholders of the Exchange are now shareholders of the Group. The results set out below relate to the Exchange for the year ended 31 March 2006.

American Stock Exchange Launches Remote Options Market-Making Program - Three Of Wall Street's Largest Options Players To Participate In Program

The American Stock Exchange (Amex) announced today that it has launched its remote options market-making program. The Amex has selected three major Wall Street firms as Supplemental Registered Options Traders (SROTs) to participate in the program. The firms are: Citadel Derivatives Group, SLK-Hull Derivatives LLC, and Timber Hill/Interactive Brokers.
