UK’s Financial Conduct Authority And Industry Agree To Improve The Way Consumer Complaints Are Dealt With

Financial firms have collaborated with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) on a thematic review and, as a result, have agreed to make improvements to the way they deal with consumer complaints. The FCA will be consulting on possible changes to its dispute resolution rules later this year.
DFM Achieves 100% Compliance In UAE Companies’ Disclosure Of The Quarterly Results

Dubai Financial Market (DFM) announced today that its UAE listed companies have showed a 100% compliance to disclose their quarterly results within the deadline of 45 days from the end of the period. All the 44 UAE public joint stock companies listed on DFM successfully disclosed their Q3-2014 results with the exception of Amlak Finance due to procedural reasons.

Key highlights for the week ending 14 November 2014

The SFI lost 0.10% to 119.44.
YTD, the STI currently outperforms the SFI by 0.87%.
The SFI and major sub-indices ended the week higher. Gains were largely driven by corporate bonds, with the SFI Corporate Bond Index gaining 0.15%.
Corporate Financial Bonds (SFI Financial Bond Index) currently outperform the broader SFI and STI and have made monthly gains in ten consecutive months. Month-to-date, the index is up 0.24%.
YTD, correlation between the SFI and STI is at approximately -16%. For the same time period last year, correlation was at approximately 26%.

Ms. Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), issued the following statement today at the conclusion of the Group of 20 (G20) Leaders Summit in Brisbane, Australia:

“This has been a very productive year for the G20. I would like to congratulate the Australian authorities, particularly Prime Minister Tony Abbott, Treasurer Joe Hockey, and Reserve Bank of Australia Governor Glenn Stevens, for warmly hosting us, and for their effective leadership, which resulted in excellent discussions and pragmatic outcomes, embodied in the Brisbane Action Plan.
