Nigerian Stock Exchange Weekly Report For The Week Ended June 7, 2013
A turnover of 1.917 billion shares worth of N25.133 billion in 32,368 deals were traded this week by investors on the floor of The Exchange in contrast to a total of 1.503 billion shares valued at N14.109 billion that exchanged hands last week in 24,007 deals. The Financial Services sector (measured by volume) led the activity chart with a turnover of 1.302 billion shares valued at N13.510 billion traded in 17,126 deals. The Financial Services sector represented 67.93% and 53.76% of the total traded volume and value respectively.

CFTC’s Division Of Clearing And Risk Issues An Advisory Pertaining To The Effective Date Of The Clearing Exemption For Swaps Between Certain Affiliated Entities
The Division of Clearing and Risk (DCR) of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today issued an Advisory notifying market participants that the effective date of the final rule adopting the “Clearing Exemption for Swaps Between Certain Affiliated Entities” has been automatically extended by operation of law, to June 18, 2013.

CME Group Sees Record Trading In Its Global FX Complex - Transacted $239 Billion In Notional Volume Across FX Futures And Options
CME Group, the world's leading and most diverse derivatives exchange, yesterday saw record trading in electronic FX options, Japanese yen, Canadian dollar and open interest in Australian dollar. Total FX futures and options volume for yesterday was 1,925,549 contracts with a notional value of $238,900,876,449 — the fourth largest day ever and largest of the year in terms of notional value.
