  • KAS BANK: EMIR Next Steps - Notification Of Exchange Traded Derivatives

    Since 12th February 2014, financial institutions have been obliged to report their derivatives transactions to one of six trade repositories approved by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). KAS BANK currently reports its transactions and those of many client firms to the trade repository REGIS-TR. Later this year, we will also have the capability to report Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) to REGIS-TR. KAS BANK will be able to offer this possibility also for your underlying clients.

  • BNP Paribas Joins TOM MTF As New Member

    TOM (The Order Machine) welcomes BNP Paribas as new member on the TOM MTF derivatives market. At this moment TOM MTF has a stable market share in the Netherlands of around 30%, a figure TOM expects to grow to 40% - 50% later this year. Currently more than 50% of the Dutch retail flow is executed on TOM MTF.  

  • SEC Names Gina Talamona As Communications Director

    The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that Gina Talamona has been named communications director.  Ms. Talamona, who will report to Chair Mary Jo White, will provide strategic advice on a variety of communications issues relating to the SEC’s mission to protect investors, facilitate capital formation, and maintain the integrity of the nation’s markets.

  • Hong Kong’s Securities And Futures Commission: Futures Manipulator Sentenced To Community Service

    The Eastern Magistrates’ Court today sentenced a futures trader, Mr Ernest Fan Kwong Hung, to 200 hours of community service and fined him $59,430 for manipulating the final calculated opening prices (COP) of index futures contracts in the futures market.
