Review Of Stockholmsbörsen's Attract40 Prior To The Second Half Of 2001

On July 3 last year Stockholmsbörsen introduced the Attract 40 sector into the exchange's 0-list. Attract40 includes those O-list companies with the highest rate of turnover. This choice of criteria also gives somewhat smaller companies a chance of exposure.

London Stock Exchange To Launch Electronic Shareholding Scheme

The London Stock Exchange today announced a new scheme that will make it easier for its shareholders to hold their shares electronically. Due to coincide with its planned listing in July and reflecting its desire to move towards a fully electronic register in its shares, the Exchange has decided to waive the annual service fee for investors holding shares in the company.

Turnover In May 2001 the total turnover on all market segments of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange amounted to SIT 26.11 billion ,which was 50% higher than the month before and almost SIT 11 billion above the May 2000 figure. In the five months of this year the total turnover on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange reached SIT 113.67 billion, which was 11% or SIT 11.2 billion more than a year before.
