  • GL Trade And HEX Announced The Opening Of A Gateway

    GL TRADE and HEX announced today the opening of a gateway. Brokers are now able to place orders on HEX through GL Net, the proprietary network which links more than 55 equity and derivatives markets worldwide. The provision of a direct gateway to HEX enables brokers to take advantage of the significant arbitrage and basket trading opportunities. For HEX this means that it will be able to further enhance the liquidity of the Finnish blue chip companies to Finland.

    Eurex, the international derivatives market, traded and cleared about 63 million contracts in March. Thus, compared with March 2001, volume on the world's leading derivatives exchange grew by about 10 percent. For the first quarter of trading this year, Eurex shows a total of more than 185 million contracts traded, an increase of about 22 million contracts, or 13 percent more than the number traded during the same period of last year.
