Toronto Stock Exchange Circuit Breaker Levels for the Third Quarter

It is the policy of The Toronto Stock Exchange to co-ordinate with U.S. markets when circuit breakers are invoked. The circuit breaker trigger points are set at three fluctuating levels representing 10%, 20% and 30% of the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA). The levels are calculated by the NYSE at the beginning of each calendar quarter, using the average closing value of the DJIA for the preceding month. Each trigger is rounded to the nearest 50 points.

Osaka Mercantile Exchange Weekly Aluminium Futures Report

This week, OME aluminium futures went sharply higher on strong buying interest as LME aluminium advanced following the steep rise in the prices in the copper market. On June 8, all contract months rose over the 180 yen level. Distant month : opening 176.7 yen, a high 182.0 yen (Jul. 9), a low 175.4 yen (Jul. 7), closing 81.7 yen.

NYMEX Board Approves Applying to Trade Mid-Columbia Electricity Contract

The New York Mercantile Exchange board of directors on Wednesday agreed to apply to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) for permission to trade electricity futures based on delivery in the Mid-Columbia River region.

Ljubljana Stock Exchange securities turnover increased in June

The total turnover of securities on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange increased in June after the decline in May and reached the amount of SIT 19 billion (SIT 14.1 billion in April).

JSE Achieves All Time High Value and Volume Traded in One Day

The JSE is pleased to announce that an all time high for daily turnover of R11,419 million was recorded on July 12, 1999. The previous high of R3,923 million was recorded on June 17, 1999.

RSS3 Futures : After opening slightly lower on June 1 (spot month: \72.70 distant month: \83.10), the prices fluctuated within a narrow range in the absence encouraging factors, and the issue of rubber import quota by China still remained uncertain despite the shortage of domestic supply in China. On June 10, the prices remained flat (spot month: \72.00 distant month: \82.10).

CME Launches New Internet Simulated Trading Program- Cooperative Effort With Member Firms, U.S. Virtual Provides Broker Advice, Look, Feel Of Real Futures Trading Account

The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) today announced that it has launched a new simulated trading program in conjunction with its member firms and U.S. Virtual, Inc., providing online investors with a trading experience virtually identical to having a futures trading account. The program is the first of its kind combining the wide range of resources of brokerage firms, a futures exchange and a brokerage system provider.
