Minneapolis Grain Exchange Names Univits As Technology Partner - Members Approve Electronic Trading Rules And Regulations

The Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX) has agreed in principle with UNIVITS, an electronic exchange design company headquartered in London and Stockholm, to develop an electronic trading platform for futures, cash and over-the-counter (OTC) derivative products. In addition, MGEX members approved rules and regulations for electronic trading yesterday, with 96.7% of the ballots cast in favor of the proposal.

Hong Kong Exchanges And Clearing Limited Announces New Order Types And Revised Trading Parameters For AMS/3

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) will introduce two new order types to AMS/3, the Third Generation Automatic Order Matching and Execution System, and revise the trading parameters for AMS/3 on 12 February (Monday).

FTSE Launch Next Generation Global Sector Indices

FTSE unveils today the world’s first blue-chip global sector indices, designed to enable investors to trade global sectors quickly and efficiently. The FTSE Global Sector Index Series is a family of 11 highly tradable indices that have been created for use in sector-based trading supporting a wide range of OTC and listed products and exchange-traded funds and derivatives. The indices will go live on Monday 12 February.

Euronext Paris Derivatives Markets Steep Rise In Trading And Open Interest In January

Trading on Paris derivatives markets rose 26% from December to January, with over 21 million contracts (21,604,543) changing hands. Open interest climbed a steep 28% to total 32,392,124 lots.

CHF122,705 Million In Turnover On SWX In January

A total volume of CHF122,705 million was traded on SWX in January, roughly 18 percent more than the month before. The total comprises CHF 100,963 million in equities (including funds), CHF 16,736 million in bonds, CHF 5,006 in derivatives, CHF 1,294 in USD denominated Eurobonds, CHF 1,886 in EUR denominated Eurobonds and CHF 40 in GBP denominated Eurobonds.

Tradepoint Financial Networks Plc: Completion Of Virt-X Transaction, Name Change And Board Changes

Tradepoint Financial Networks plc ("Tradepoint") and SWX Swiss Exchange ("SWX") announced today the legal completion of the transaction between Tradepoint, the Tradepoint Consortium ("the Consortium" or "TP Group LDC") and SWX to create virt-x, a new pan-European blue chip market. Completion was conditional upon clearance from the competition authorities and the signing of limited recourse facility agreements with the members of the Tradepoint Consortium.
