The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) yesterday announced that on Tuesday, January 23, it will launch a new volatility index, the VXNSM. Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) Sets One-Day Volume Record On Jan. 19 For Equity & Index Options

For the second trading day in a row, the Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) reached a new one-day record volume for trading equity and index options. On Jan.19, a record-breaking 853,803 equity and index options contracts were traded, marking a 17 percent increase over the previous record-high daily volume on Jan.18 when 732,251 contracts were traded.
