  • CME Launches New Foreign Exchange Cross-Rates

    Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) will launch trading in 13 new foreign exchange (FX) futures contracts today, May 16, at 8 a.m. (Central time). The contracts will trade on CME’s GLOBEX® electronic trading platform or as All-or-None (AON) transactions executed via open outcry on the trading floor for quantities of five or more contracts.

    Chicago Mercantile Exchange Holdings Inc. today announced that it has appointed Ernst & Young LLP as the company's independent public accountants for the 2002 fiscal year, succeeding Arthur Andersen LLP. The decision was made after a thorough selection process by the Board of Directors, its Audit Committee and management.

    RTS Index closed at 402.91 on May 14. Thus it exceeded 400 for the first time since 1998. The last time the RTS Index exceeded this point was on January 6, 1998, when it reached 410.04.
