Winnipeg Commodity Exchange Sets Record Volume Levels During 2000/01 Fiscal Year

Total futures and options pit trade during the fiscal year (September 1, 2000 to August 31, 2001) reached a record 2,925,700 contracts, compared to the previous record of 2,348,385 contracts set during the 1999/00 fiscal year.

Winnipeg Commodity Exchange Feed Wheat Volume Levels Setting New Trends

Total feed wheat volume levels have increased roughly 34.7% over the same time last month and by 49.4% over year ago levels. Market participants say that the increases in total volume levels for feed wheat is mainly due to uncertainty about the quality of this year's wheat crop in Canada. Ultimately, the quality will determine the size of the Canadian feed wheat crop. London Stock Exchange: Closing Auction And Closing Price Dissemination - SETS Stocks

Following a review, the Exchange is making some changes to the closing auction process for SETS securities on 10th September 2001, relating to Price Monitoring Extensions parameters and the length of the potential extension periods. This guidance note highlights the revised timings and details how the closing price will be determined where there is no auction match because of a potential excessive price movement with inadequate volume or no matching orders.

London Stock Exchange Monthly Market Report - August 2001 - Number Of Sets Trades In August 2001 Double That Of August 2000 - Number Of Trades On Sets In First 8 Months Of 2001 Exceeds Total For 2000

The number of trades on SETS, the Exchange's electronic order-book, was higher in the first eight months of 2001 than for the whole of 2000 reaching 9.1m trades to date in 2001, compared with 8.6m for all of 2000. The number of trades on SETS was up 100 per cent in August 2001 with 1,307,814 trades, compared to 652,565 trades in August 2000. The value traded also increased by 23.9 per cent to £50.4bn in August 2001, compared to £40.7bn in August 2000.

Deutsche Börse: Turbon Replaces Adolf Ahlers In The SDAX

Turbon AG replaces Adolf Ahlers AG in the SDAX as of September 24 since Ahlers is leaving Deutsche Börse's SMAX small-cap quality segment. A company has to be in the SMAX segment in order to be included in the SDAX. Adolf Ahlers will continue to be listed and traded in the first segment (Amtlicher Handel) of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FWB Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse).
