  • CME E-Mini Feeder Cattle Futures To Open Sept. 19

    The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) announced it will begin trading "E-mini" feeder cattle futures contracts-the second traditional agricultural commodity to be traded exclusively on the CME's GLOBEX®2 electronic trading system-on Tuesday, Sept. 19.

  • CBOE's New Mini Index Off To Impressive Start

    The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced that trading of the new CBOE Mini-NDX index (CBOE ticker symbol MNXSM) debuted successfully today. Trading in the new index product totaled 27,417 contracts, making MNX one of the most-active options at CBOE today. Officials at CBOE are extremely pleased with the opening day success of MNX, which is a 1/10th size version of the existing Nasdaq-100 Index® options (NDX) at CBOE.     Stanchart posted good interim results for the six months to 30th June 2000. Total net income grew 33.6% to P118.730m and income after tax rose 35% to P48.532m. Dividends rose 42.9% to 10t per share from 7t in the comparable period. Total assets grew 6.9% to P2.193bn and Loans & Advances rose 19.6% to P1.051bn.
