HEX Calculation Of New Technology Index Started Today

HEX started today the calculation of the new HEXTech technology stock index. The trading with derivatives based on HEXTech will start in the near future. In HEXTech, the weight of stocks of any single company is limited to twenty per cent. The index constituents include Nokia, Sonera, Tietoenator and Elisa Communications, Comptel, Elcoteq, F-Secure, Perlos, Jot Automation Group and Stonesoft.

Final Outcome For Next 150 Split Up Of Eridania Beghin-Say - Egide, Net2S And Riber Deleted From Next 150; Infovista To Remain In N150

Because of changed market conditions, the final result for the selection of Next 150 Index of the split up of Eridania Beghin-Say differs from the indication given in our press release earlier today. Based on the Market capitalisation of the close of Friday 29 June Egide, Net2S and Riber will be deleted from the Next 150 index, effective 2 July 2001.

Eurex Turns Over 324 Million Contracts In First Half Of 2001 - Six-Month Turnover 37 Percent Higher Than Previous Year - 53.2 Million Contracts In June - Eurex Capital Market Products World's Top Family Of Exchange-Traded Derivatives

Eurex, the world's Number One derivatives market, turned over 53.2 million contracts in June. This is almost 35 percent higher than the figure for June last year and just short of the figure for May 2001 (53.8 million contracts), the third-highest monthly total posted at Eurex to date. Turnover for the first half of the year shows a total of 324 million contracts traded, about 37 percent higher than the first six months of last year.

EEX Turns Over 1,415 Gwh On Integrated Spot And Futures Market In June - Continuing High Turnover In Spot Market - Stable Trading Volumes In Futures Market

The European Energy Exchange EEX released its turnover figures for the month of June on Monday: 1,415 gigawatt hours (GWh) were traded on the integrated spot and futures market. EEX is thus continuing to expand its position as the largest and most liquid electricity exchange in Continental Europe. The June total comprises 861 GWh in the spot market, and roughly 554 GWh in the futures market. Details On Stock Exchange Of Thailand Corporatization Proposed Today

Mr. Vicharat Vichit-Vadakan, President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), today revealed that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the SET have invited market participants organizations, including brokers, sub-brokers, listed companies, asset management companies and other related organizations to attend an Industry Hearing on SET corporatization. Previously, principles and objectives for this initiative were presented to all participants on September 22, 2000.

CME Volume in First Six Months Rises More Than 59 Percent To 191 Million - GLOBEX®2 Volume Increases 143 Percent

Trading volume on Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) in June rose 62.4 percent over year-ago levels to set a new June record of 33.3 million contracts. For the six months ending June 2001, CME trading volume of more than 191 million increased more than 59 percent over 2000. The underlying value of the contracts traded in June totaled $22.9 trillion, while year-to-date underlying value of trading equals $135.7 trillion.

CBOE June Index Volume Up 86%; Exchangewide Open Interest Up 95%; iShares Set Monthly Records In June

Total index option volume for the month of June at the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) rose 86%, from 3,131,470 contracts in June 2000 to 5,830,641 contracts (2,772,268 calls and 3,058,373 puts) in June 2001. Options on the Dow Jones Industrial AverageSM (DJX) led the major index gains at CBOE. DJX volume increased 165%, from 231,239 contracts in June 2000 to 612,275 contracts in June 2001. The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) will hold closing rotations in Nasdaq equity options beginning at 4 pm Chicago time. Broad-based indices will commence non-trading rotations after Nasdaq futures stop trading.
