The CBOT® 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract for September 2001 was cash settled October 1 at a final settlement price of 96.931 for an average overnight effective rate of 3.069 percent during the delivery month.

CBOT Board Approves Refinements To Restructuring Proposal

At a special meeting today, the Board of Directors of the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) adopted resolutions necessary to proceed with technical refinements to the exchange's restructuring proposal, which originally was approved by the Board in January, 2001. These refinements will be reflected in an amendment to the Registration Statement (S-4) which is expected to be filed shortly with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

CBOE September Volume Increases 2%; Several Individual Volume Records Established

Total exchange volume for the month of September at the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) increased 2% to 24,968,536 contracts (13,036,848 calls and 11,931,688 puts), up from 24,498,252 contracts in September 2000. The week of September 17, CBOE established a new record for single-week volume when 11,650,602 contracts traded. Borsa Italiana: September 2001 New Monthly Record Set For miniFIB Contract

The miniFIB contract, the first mini futures contract launched in Europe, set a new monthly record of 148,353 contracts in September 2001 (previous monthly record of 125,504 contracts set in March 2001) with an average daily volume of 7,418 contracts. The average daily volume year-to-date is of 4,814 contracts.

Announcement And Update Of Component Changes To The Nasdaq-100 Index Effective October 4, 2001

Andrx Group (Nasdaq:ADRX) a member of Andrx Corporation, of Davie, Florida, will become a component of the Nasdaq-100 Index® (Nasdaq:NDX), effective at the beginning of trading Thursday, October 4, 2001. Andrx Group will also be included in the Nasdaq-100 Index Tracking StockSM (Amex:QQQ). Andrx Group will replace At Home Corporation (Nasdaq:ATHMQ), which is no longer eligible for inclusion in the Index.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) President, Mr. Kittiratt Na- Ranong, disclosed that SET securities trading in September recorded a total market turnover of 11,426.73 million shares in volume and 109,950.47 million baht in value, decreased by 62,458.33 million baht from August or 36.23%. The SET Index closed on September 28 at 277.04, down by 58.53 points or 17.44 % from the previous month."

Eurex, the international derivatives market, set another new worldwide turnover record in September: With volume of 68.5 million contracts traded, the world market leader clearly topped its previous record of 61 million contracts traded in March 2001.
