Bloomberg Tradebook And The Philadelphia Stock Exchange Activate Customized Direct Trading Link - Exchange Linkage Gives Users Enhanced Listed Quote Driving Capabilities

Bloomberg Tradebook and the Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) today announced the successful activation of a customized trading link between both organizations. Bloomberg Tradebook clients will now have electronic access to more than 2,300 stocks traded at the PHLX.

Riga In February Latvian capital market turnover amounted to EUR 88.04 million. Equity trading volume was EUR 1.91 million, noticeably surpassed by debt trading, which contributed 86.13 million. Equity market capitalisation at the end of the month reached LVL 363.43 million (EUR 641.75 million); total value of debt securities was EUR 585.79 million. Dow Jones RSE index slightly depreciated (by -0.36%) since end of January, while RICI lost 2.76% of its end of January closing value.

Winnipeg Commodity Exchange: Initial Performance In Revised Feed Wheat Contract

Feed wheat futures have been trending downward over the past few months with active trade activity observed throughout February 2001. The average volume for the month, including exchange-for-physicals (EFPs), was in excess of 22,100 tonnes per day (1,108 contracts per day). The Month Of February Establishes Highest Trade Volume In Winnipeg Commodity Exchange History

Canola futures witnessed record-breaking levels during the month of February as pit trade volume exceeded the previous monthly volume record by 31.0%, reaching 273,404 contracts. Open interest levels in canola futures reached 77,664 contracts on February 13, 2001, surpassing the previous record of 77,405 contracts established on October 15, 1999, and compared to 44,294 contracts at the start of the 2000/01crop year. The American Stock Exchange® (Amex®) today announced that it would convert 14 options on corresponding Nasdaq securities to decimals on Monday, March 12. The 14 are part of the initial phase of Nasdaq’s conversion to decimals pricing, which begins on Monday.

Russell Futures Open Interest Sets New NYBOT Record

The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT®)announced today a new record for the Russell futures open interest of 8,732 contracts, set on March 7, 2001. The new record passes the previous Russell futures open interest of 8,695 contracts, established on September 15, 1999. Additionally, the total open interest for the Russell futures and options contracts on March 7, 2001 was 10,709 contracts.
