  • NYBOT: Post Close Trading Session To Resume In Cocoa With New Start & End Times

    Effective Monday, November 19, 2001, the Cocoa futures and options contracts will resume their post close trading sessions ("Sessions'). Floor brokers and their customers should note that the Sessions will take place three minutes after the close and will last only two minutes. Amendments to Trading Rule 3.04B reflect the new start and end times.

  • NYBOT: Cotton And FCOJ Restore Post Close Trading Sessions

    Pursuant to his authority in physical emergencies the President previously declared that no post close trading session be conducted due to the abbreviated trading schedule under which the exchanges were operating. With the expansion of trading hours on November 12, 2001, the President has determined that post close trading sessions be restored in Cotton and FCOJ commencing Thursday, November 15, 2001.

  • Nasdaq Reports Third-Quarter Net Income Of $7.9 Million

    The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. (Nasdaq®), today reported net income of $7.9 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2001, compared with net income of $22.0 million for the third quarter of 2000, a decrease of 64.1%. Diluted earnings per share was $0.07 for the third quarter of 2001, compared with $0.18 for the third quarter of 2000. Annualized return on average stockholders' equity was 6.1% for the third quarter.

    The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 1,659.7 points at the end of October, an increase of 59.8 points from the closing value at the end September. The weighted index reached 127.14 points at the end of October, an increase of 3.86 points from the closing value at the end of September.
