CME Members Approve Transfer Of Deutsche Mark Futures To GLOBEX®2
Members of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) voted overwhelmingly today to transfer trading in the Deutsche mark futures contract onto the exchange's GLOBEX2 electronic trading system during regular trading hours. The move reflects the continuing shift in world currency markets triggered by European Economic and Monetary Union (EMU). The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) today began trading a new three year issue of Targeted Growth Enhanced Terms Securities (TARGETS®), a hybrid security whose value is linked to MCI Worldcom common stock (WCOM). HKFE's Position Limit Rule Approved by SFC
The Hong Kong Futures Exchange (HKFE) said on June 21 that the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has approved a new Exchange rule which imposes a client level delta position limit of 10,000 for Hang Seng Index Futures and Options combined. OME aluminium futures failed to gain toward the weekend in the absence of other bullish factors after the rise in the prices at the beginning of the week following firmer tone in LME. OM Stockholm Exchange - extended opening this autumn
The Board of the OM Stockholm Exchange has decided to extend the hours of Swedish equity trading. From this autumn onwards, the OM Stockholm Exchange will be open for equity and derivatives trading from CET 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., implying a one-hour extension from the current hours of 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This extension is due to several factors, including a rapid increase in retail interest for trading the stock market and a growing non-Swedish interest in the Swedish market.

The Nasdaq-Amex Market GroupSM today began trading options on The CSFB Technology Index (Amex:CTN).
