The Stock Market On The Copenhagen Stock Exchange Performed Better In 2001 In Relation To Other Comparable Markets

With effect from 1 July this year, new reporting rules entered into force on the Danish stock market. This meant that the number of trades which are reported twice were reduced remarkably to benefit the transparency of both the price and turnover picture. It also implied a technically conditioned decline in the equity trading volume in the region of 40 per cent.

Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In S&P Canadian Indices

Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/CDNX Composite Index: AfriOre Limited (CDNX:AFO) will commence trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange effective Monday, December 31. As a result of its listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange, the company will be removed from the S&P/CDNX Composite Index effective after the close of business on Friday, December 28, 2001.

The New York Stock Exchange is updating its members and member firms regarding several aspects of the Investor and Capital Markets Relief Act, which will substantially reduce transaction fees collected by the Securities and Exchange Commission (also called "Section 31 fees" for Section 31 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934).

Nymex To Resume Earlier Aluminum Opening Beginning January 2; Reschedule Comex Division Expirations In November 2002

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., today announced that it will resume the regular opening time of 7:50 AM for its COMEX Division aluminum futures and options beginning on January 2, and reschedule the expirations of its COMEX Division November 2002 futures and December 2002 options contracts.

Nymex To Change Early Closing Time For Coal

NYBOT Exchange Fee Reduction Program Adopted

On December 27, 2001, the NYBOT Exchanges adopted a fee reduction program of up to $2 million for proprietary trades entered into on and after November 15, 2001 through December 31, 2001. The fee reduction program applies to all Exchange members, including lessees, except FINEX - European permit holders. The fee reduction program consists of rebates of such amounts as have been paid by such members and forbearance of such amounts as have not yet been billed or paid.
