GL Trade And HEX Announced The Opening Of A Gateway

GL TRADE and HEX announced today the opening of a gateway. Brokers are now able to place orders on HEX through GL Net, the proprietary network which links more than 55 equity and derivatives markets worldwide. The provision of a direct gateway to HEX enables brokers to take advantage of the significant arbitrage and basket trading opportunities. For HEX this means that it will be able to further enhance the liquidity of the Finnish blue chip companies to Finland.

Eurex Turns Over 63 Million Contracts In March - New Record Results In Nokia Options

Eurex, the international derivatives market, traded and cleared about 63 million contracts in March. Thus, compared with March 2001, volume on the world's leading derivatives exchange grew by about 10 percent. Deutsche Boerse Group - 324 Billion Euros In Turnover On The German Stock

Based on the aggregate turnover statistics, a total volume of 324.5 billion euros was traded on the German stock exchanges in March, roughly 16 percent higher than the previous month's figure (February 2002: 280 billion euros). The March total comprises 252.7 billion euros in equities, warrants and exchange-traded funds as well as 71.8 billion euros in fixed-income securities.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission's (CFTC's) Office of General Counsel (OGC) issued a no-action letter on April 2, 2002, permitting the offer and sale in the United States of Eurex Deutschland's futures contracts based on the Dow Jones STOXX 600 Banking Sector Index and the Dow Jones EURO STOXX Banking Sector Index.

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) today announced trading volume of 24,445,805 contracts for March 2002, up 17.7% from March 2001 and up 2.1% from February 2002. Volume for the first quarter of 2002 totaled 71,238,618 contracts, up 13.9% from 2001.
