    In advance of this week's Federal Open Market Committee meeting on June 25, the Chicago Board of Trade will be reporting daily rate change probabilities in the FOMC's federal funds target rate, as indicated by the CBOT® 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract. The CBOT 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract is a key benchmark interest rate barometer that reflects the forward overnight effective rate for excess reserves that are traded among commercial banks in the U.S. federal funds market.

  • CBOE To List Full Value 2005 LEAPS On S&P 100 Index (OEX And XEO) And iShares S&P 100 Index (OEF)

    The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) today announced it will list full value 2005 LEAPS on S&P 100 Index with American style exercise (OEX), S&P 100 Index with European style exercise (XEO), and iShares S&P 100 Index exchange-traded fund (OEF) beginning Thursday, June 26. LEAPS (Long-term Equity AnticiPation Securities) are stock options with an expiration date of up to three years in the future.

    Yesterday, the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa (JSE) announced the first alternative exchange in Africa that will list small and medium growing companies. It has been named AltX. The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) endorses and supports this initiative.

  • Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In The S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

    Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Tuesday, June 24, 2003: TNR Resources Ltd. (TSXVN:TRR) will change its name to "TNR Gold Corp." The company will trade under the new ticker symbol "TNR" and the new CUSIP number 87260X 10 9.   • Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In S&P/TSX Canadian Indices

    Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index change effective after the close of business on Wednesday, June 25, 2003: The relative weight of Inter Pipeline Fund (TSX:IPL.UN) will increase by approximately 0.32% in the S&P/TSX Capped Income Trust Index. The relative weight change reflects an adjustment to the float trust units of the income trust due to the issuance of units.

  • Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In S&P Canadian Indices

    Standard & Poor's wishes to announce that following changes: On June 23, 2003, the shareholders of Dundee Realty Corporation (TSX:D) approved a plan of arrangement whereby the company would be converted into an income trust, Dundee REIT. After the close of trading on Wednesday, June 25, 2003, Dundee Realty Corporation will be removed from the S&P/TSX Composite, S&P/TSX Capped Composite, S&P/TSX SmallCap, S&P/TSX Capped Financials, S&P/TSX Capped Real Estate and TSX 200 Indices.

    Effective July 1st, 2003, the new revision of "Information Disclosure Rules" will come into force. The document was approved by the Partnership Board of Directors on April 22nd, 2003, and approved by Federal Securities Commission of Russia on June 11, 2003.
