    Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Wednesday, April 28, 2004: Transition Therapeutics Inc. (TSXVN:TTH) will be removed from the index. The company will graduate to trade on the TSX under the ticker symbol “TTH” at the open on April 29, 2004.

  • SEC Proposes Thrift Exception From Advisers Act, Comprehensive Disclosure Requirements For Asset Backed Securities - Adopts Supervision Programs For Broker-Dealers And Affiliates

    The Securities and Exchange Commission today voted to publish for comment propose a rule that would provide an exception from the Investment Advisers Act for thrifts and new and amended rules and forms for registration and reporting for asset backed securities. The Commission also voted to adopt rules that would create voluntary programs to supervise broker-dealers and their affiliates on a consolidated basis.

    ScanSource Inc. (NASD:SCSC) will replace American Management Systems Inc. (NASD:AMSY) in the S&P SmallCap 600 Index after the close of trading on Thursday, April 29, 2004.
