Stock Exchange of Thailand Identifies Four Sectors On The Recovery Trail

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has confirmed that companies listed in Commerce, Communication, Household Goods, and Entertainment & Recreation Sectors are on the recovery trail in line with increased domestic consumption. The Entertainment and Recreation Sector in particular, outperformed in profits and sales income that jumped by 205% and 19.33% respectively.

Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In The S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index: The common shares of Welcome Opportunities Ltd. (TSXVN:WLO) will be delisted from the TSX Venture Exchange after the close of business on Monday, September 9, 2002 as a result of an amalgamation agreement between the company and Endeavour Mining Capital Corp. The ticker symbol of Endeavour Mining Capital Corp. will be EDV and the CUSIP number will be 63040R 10 9.

Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In S&P European Indices

Standard & Poor's will make the following change in the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus and S&P Euro Indices, effective after the close of trading Wednesday, September 11, 2002: Sagem SA (France, SEDOL 4074432, GICS: Information Technology, GICS Code: 45201020), a member of the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus and S&P Euro Indices, shares will decrease by 1,846,152 to 27,071,000 via a negative new issue. The change is due to the cancellation of shares by the company.

Philadelphia Stock Exchange Announces August Volume

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange announced today that equity trading volume reached 190,574,464 shares in August marking a 7.3% increase when compared to the same month last year when 177,617,176 shares traded. Equity trading volume decreased 24.97% compared to the previous month's volume when 253,998,608 shares traded. Equity trading volume is 2.52% higher for the eight-month period this year when compared to the same period last year.
