    The National Council on Economic Education (NCEE) announced today the election of Craig S. Donohue to the NCEE Board of Directors. Mr. Donohue, who will assume the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Holdings Inc. and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) on January 1, 2004, joins a distinguished group of volunteers from business and education who serve on the NCEE Board.

    The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) today announced strong trading volume gains in October, with overall exchange volume increasing 17.7 percent over October 2002 levels to 42,391,461 contracts traded, versus 36,025,514 contracts traded in October 2002.
