MOU Signing Between Japan Securities Settlement & Custody, Inc. And Taiwan Securities Central Depository Co. Ltd. - A Threshold Toward Closer Business Ties

Japan Securities Settlement & Custody, Inc. (JSSC), a subsidiary of Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE), and Taiwan Securities Central Depository Co. Ltd. (TSCD) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on November 2, 2004, aimed at establishing cooperative ties between the two organizations for securities depository and settlement.

IPE Launches Electronic Mornings In Conjunction With Robust Floor Session

The International Petroleum Exchange (IPE) on Monday successfully began exclusive electronic trading of its benchmark Brent Crude contract until 2pm (UK Time). Robust floor trading continued from 2 pm until 7:30 pm. The screen remains open until 10 pm.

GL TRADE achieved turnover of €110.2m in the first nine months of 2004, representing a 17.5% year-on-year rise unadjusted for movements in exchange rates and including the late 2003 acquisitions of MSTS and GLESIA. At constant exchange rates, the increase is 18.5%.
