Commodity Futures Trading Commission Statement On US Futures Exchange

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission is today announcing its determination to consider the application of the United States Futures Exchange LLC outside the 60-day framework of the Commission's "fast track" contract market designation procedure. The fast track designation process requires Commission action on an application for contract market designation within 60 days of filing. The United States Futures Exchange application was filed on September 16, 2003.

BondVision today announced that following the recent addition of Danske and Nykredit to its Dealer community, European investors will be able to trade Danish Government bonds (DGBs) electronically on the market as of November 4, 2003. A record volume of currency operations in the whole history of the Russian organized currency market since 1992 was registered today in the MICEX Currency Market Section. The volume of transactions in the US dollar reached 1,638 bln dollars in one trading session, 1,265 bln dollars accounting for the instrument with tomorrow settlements. The previous record of 1,3 bln dollars was set 30 September 2003.
