Irish Stock Exchange Appoints RNS To Distribute Regulatory Information

The London Stock Exchange today announced that the Irish Stock Exchange (ISE) has signed a letter of intent to appoint RNS to distribute its regulatory news when competition is introduced on 15 April.
GL Trade And HEX Announced The Opening Of A Gateway

GL TRADE and HEX announced today the opening of a gateway. Brokers are now able to place orders on HEX through GL Net, the proprietary network which links more than 55 equity and derivatives markets worldwide. The provision of a direct gateway to HEX enables brokers to take advantage of the significant arbitrage and basket trading opportunities. For HEX this means that it will be able to further enhance the liquidity of the Finnish blue chip companies to Finland.

Based on the aggregate turnover statistics, a total volume of 324.5 billion euros was traded on the German stock exchanges in March, roughly 16 percent higher than the previous month's figure (February 2002: 280 billion euros). The March total comprises 252.7 billion euros in equities, warrants and exchange-traded funds as well as 71.8 billion euros in fixed-income securities.

Demonstrating its ability to create unique trading opportunities, the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) today announced that Bear Hunter Structured Products L.L.C. and Susquehanna International Group, LLP (SIG) have been appointed as electronic market markers (EMM) to enhance liquidity for CBOT® mini-sized DowSMfutures contracts. The market maker program for the CBOT® mini-sized DowSMfutures complex, which trades exclusively on the exchange's electronic trading platform, will begin on April 5, 2002
