ArcaEx Releases February 2005 Transaction Volume Data

Archipelago Holdings, Inc. (PCX: AX) today announced its February 2005 market transaction volume data for the Archipelago Exchange (ArcaEx(R)). Specifically, in NYSE- listed equity securities, ArcaEx's total trading market share was 2.3% in February 2005, up from 1.5% in February 2004 and down slightly from 2.4% in January 2005.

President of Thailand Securities Depository Co., Ltd. (TSD) Mrs. Nongram Wongwanich disclosed that over 200,000 people have been participating in the e-dividend service so far. The TSD has been actively promoting this convenient service, which is available to investors at no additional charge. More applications are coming in, as the dividend payment period is approaching. Listed companies’ book-closing dates will begin this month, with dividends to be paid between April – May 2005.

Securities Industry Association Endorses Lifetime Savings Accounts, Retirement Savings Accounts, And Employer Retirement Savings Accounts Proposals - Innovative Savings Plans Would Help Americans Achieve Long-Term Financial Goals

The Securities Industry Association today voiced its strong support for three savings proposals designed to help all Americans fulfill their long-term financial goals -- Lifetime Savings Accounts (LSAs), Retirement Savings Accounts (RSAs), and Employer Retirement Savings Accounts (ERSAs). SIA also praised Senator Craig Thomas (R-WY) and Representative Sam Johnson (R-TX), who announced that they would be introducing legislation to implement the innovative savings plans.

SEC Extends Time For Banks To Comply With Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act Broker Registration Requirements

The Securities and Exchange Commission announced today that it issued an order further extending until Sept. 30, 2005, the compliance dates for banks with respect to certain broker registration requirements contained in the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA). The Commission does not expect banks to develop compliance systems to meet the terms of the "broker" exceptions until the Commission amends its rules.
