The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced today that April was the busiest month in CBOE's 32-year history as volume totaled 40,713,355 contracts traded, an increase of 29% over April 2004.Monthly volume at CBOE set consecutive all-time volume records, as April's total surpassed the previous high of 37,826,646 contracts traded in March 2005.Through April, 2005 year-to-date total volume at CBOE now stands at 144,977,190 contracts, 15% ahead of 2004's year-to-date total through April.Dur

CME, the largest U.S. futures exchange, today said average daily volume for April was 4.9 million contracts, up 47 percent from the same period a year ago and marking CME’s fourth consecutive record month. Total monthly volume was more than 102 million contracts, exceeding 100 million for the first time ever. The General Meeting of Shareholders of Borsa Italiana met today and approved the consolidated financial statements for 2004 which ended with a net profit of €25.4 million on revenues of €195.4 million.
