Changes In The Composition Of The ICEX-15 Index For The Second Half Of 2004

ICEX-15, the main share index of the Iceland Stock Exchange, is comprised of companies listed on the ICEX Main List. Fifteen of these companies are selected for inclusion following pre-determined rules. The index is reviewed twice annually, with changes taking effect 1 January and 1 July each year.

Change Of Time For Calculating Settlement Prices In Danish Futures Contracts

The time for fixing futures prices are changing from being based on prices at 2.30 pm to being based on prices at the normal close of the market; i.e. 5 pm. The change will be effective from Monday 21 June 2004, and is to be seen as an adaptation of international practise. The objective is to ensure that daily variation margin on futures contracts on the KFX index and individual Danish shares is as close as possible to current prices.

UK’s Financial Services Authority Fines Hargreaves Lansdown £300,000 Over Secure Growth Portfolio

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has fined Hargreaves Lansdown Asset Management Limited £300,000 for rule breaches relating to its Secure Growth Portfolio (SGP). This was a service that offered discretionary management of a portfolio of zero class shares of split capital trusts ("zeros") between 1992 and 2002.

The Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX) receives the No Action Letter issued by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission on June 2, 2004, permitting the offer and sale in the United States of TAIFEX¡¦s futures contracts based on the Taiwan Stock Exchange Capitalization Weighted Stock Index (TAIEX)-the TAIEX Futures Contract and the Mini TAIEX Futures Contract.

Substantial Increase In GL TRADE Free Float As Reuters To Divest Holding

GL TRADE (GLTD.FP), Reuters Group PLC (LSE: RTR) and Euronext N.V. (NXT.FP) today announced plans for Reuters to dispose of its entire holding in GL TRADE. Reuters holding of 3,535,000 shares represents 34.2% of GL TRADE’s current share capital. The divestment will be executed through three linked transactions and will result in a free float of up to 32.3% versus 10.1 % today .
