OneChicago, LLC today announced that 185,728 security futures contracts traded at the Exchange in January, a 22% increase over December volume and about the same amount that traded in January 2004. Open interest stood at 175,197 contracts as of January 31.

LME To Stage Inaugural Plastics Seminar On 24 May 2005

The London Metal Exchange (LME) has today confirmed that it will stage an inaugural plastics industry seminar, ‘A Perspective on Plastics’, on 24 May 2005 in London. The event will mark the LME launch of futures contracts for polypropylene (PP) and linear low density polyethylene (LL) on 27 May 2005.
