Securities Industry Association Calls On SEC To Address Issuer Retaliation Against Analysts - Practice Of Punishing Analysts For Negative Reports Undermines Integrity Of Research

The Securities Industry Association today called upon the Securities and Exchange Commission to address the problem of some publicly held companies taking steps to punish analysts over research coverage not to the company’s liking. SIA raised the issue in a comment letter to the SEC in support of harmonizing New York Stock Exchange and NASD rules regarding research analysts.

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., announced today that it will change the margins on its natural gas futures, Henry Hub natural gas swap futures, e-miNYsm natural gas futures, Henry Hub natural gas penultimate swap futures, and Henry Hub natural gas swing swap futures contracts at the close of business tomorrow.

Korea Exchange Offers Integrated Customer Account Services For Futures Traders From May 2

Korea Exchange (KRX) announced that it had begun to offer new services from May 2 that would allow futures traders to open a single account for two contracts including KOSPI 200 and KTB contracts. Previously, traders were required to open separate accounts if they traded more than one contract via a futures company, but with the launch of the combined account services, market users can now avoid this cumbersome process.

The International Securities Exchange (NYSE:ISE) said today that Sean Flynn of Timber Hill LLC, a subsidiary of Interactive Brokers LLC, was elected by shareholders to the company's Board of Directors. Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P Asia 50 Index effective after the close of trading Wednesday, May 18, 2005: Hyundai Heavy Industries Company Limited (Korea, SEDOL: 6446620, GICS: Industrials, GICS Code: 20106010) will replace Yulon Motor Company Limited (Taiwan, SEDOL: 6988597) in the S&P Asia 50 Index, after the close of trading Wednesday, May 18, 2005. Yulon Motor is being deleted from the S&P Asia 50 due to company size considerations.
