SEC: Barry Rashkover, Northeast Regional Office Associate Regional Director And Co-Head Of Enforcement, To Leave Commission
Barry W. Rashkover, Associate Regional Director and Co-Head of Enforcement for the Commission's Northeast Regional Office, announced today that he will leave the Commission in June to become a partner in the law firm of Sidley Austin Brown & Wood LLP. National Stock Exchange(SM) Part Of Coalition Issuing Statement On Regulation NMS
National Stock Exchange (NSX(SM)) today issued a joint statement of principles supporting the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) proposal to bring competition and investor choice to the marketplace though national market system reform. NSX joins Ameritrade, Fidelity Investments, Instinet Group and Nasdaq in conveying a unified viewpoint on the future of the trade-through rule and the "opt out" exception proposed in the SEC's Regulation National Market System (NMS).

Lucent Settles SEC Enforcement Action Charging The Company With $1.1 Billion Accounting Fraud - Lucent Agrees To Pay $25 Million Penalty - SEC Charges 10 Individuals With Securities Fraud
The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged Lucent Technologies Inc. with securities fraud, and violations of the reporting, books and records and internal control provisions of the federal securities laws.
