  • HSBC Plans To Register In Dubai International Financial Centre

    HSBC has indicated its intention to establish a significant presence in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). The HSBC Group Chief Executive, Stephen Green, who is also Chairman of HSBC Bank Middle East Limited, expressed the Bank’s strong desire to establish a new centre of gravity at DIFC during a call on Dr Omar Bin Sulaiman, Director General of the DIFC.

    CME, the world's largest and most diverse financial exchange, today reported that year-to-date trading volume in its CME(R) E-mini(R) equity index options exceeded four million at 4,006,366 contracts as of yesterday. This represents a 727 percent increase over the total of 487,727 CME E-mini equity index options traded in 2004.
