In May 2006, a monthly record 3.6 million SEATS1 trades were transacted on ASX markets, a 73% increase on May 2005. Total SEATS trades were 14.9 million for the 5 months to May 2006 (48% increase on PCP2) and 28.5 million for the 11 months to May 2006 (39% increase on PCP).

The MCX COMDEX closed at 2293.30 down 31.24 points (-1.36%) during the course of the week; while MCX has recorded a total weekly turnover of Rs.32,959.94 crore for the period May 26, 2006 to June 1, 2006. The MCX Agri Index closed at 1577.87 down 49.90 points (-3.16%) and. MCX Metal Index closed at 2562.66 down 100.99 points (-3.94%). MCX Energy Index was the lone gainer and closed at 2739.38 up 57.19 points (2.09%)
