  • Standard & Poor’s Announces Change To U.S. Index

    Penn Virginia Corp. (NYSE:PVA) will replace Ionics Inc. (NYSE:ION) in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Tuesday, February 22. Ionics is being acquired by a subsidiary of S&P 500 constituent General Electric Co. (NYSE:GE) in a deal expected to close on or about that date, pending final approval.

  • National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Signs Memorandum Of Understanding For Natural Gas Spot Trading

    National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) and GAIL (India) Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 15th February 2005 in New Delhi. This will enable both the organizations to jointly work for the development of a spot market for natural gas in the country. The MoU was formally signed by Mr P.H. Ravikumar, MD & CEO, NCDEX Ltd and Dr U.D. Choubey, Director, Marketing, GAIL (India) Ltd.

("NASDAQ®"; NASDAQ: NDAQ), announced today the closing of the secondary offering of common stock by NASD and certain other stockholders who purchased such shares in NASDAQ’s 2000 and 2001 private placements.
