    Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Wednesday, August 2, 2006: Inter-Citic Minerals Inc. (TSXVN:ICI) will be removed from the index. The company will graduate to trade on the TSX under the same ticker symbol.

  • Share Change For Mirvac Group In The S&P/ASX 50 Index

    Standard & Poor’s will make the following change in the S&P/ASX 50 Index effective after the close of trading Friday, Aug. 4, 2006: Mirvac Group (Australia, SEDOL: 6161978, GICS Code: 40402010), a member of the S&P/ASX 50 Index, will increase its shares to 893,219,327. This change is the result of a distribution-reinvestment plan.

  • SEC And CESR Launch Work Plan Focused On Financial Reporting - Developing Cross Atlantic Financial Markets

    The SEC and the Committee of European Securities Regulators (CESR) published today a joint work plan that will be implemented immediately. The work plan is a direct output from the December 2005 meeting between SEC Chairman Christopher Cox and CESR Chairman Arthur Docters van Leeuwen, at which they emphasized their desire to build on the dialogue between the SEC and CESR in a concrete and practical manner.

  • Revised SWX Corporate Governance Directive – Alignment With New Legal Stipulations

    The SWX Swiss Exchange (SWX) has revised and simplified its Directive on Information Relating to Corporate Governance (Corporate Governance Directive, DCG). The changes will enter into force on 1 January 2007. The Swiss Code of Obligations (CO) now prescribes that compensation paid to members of the Board of Directors and members of the Senior Management must be disclosed in the notes to the financial statements.
