CBOT Corn Options Contract Reaches One Million Milestone In Open Interest

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) announced today that for the first time in the contract’s history, CBOT Corn options reached a record high open interest of one million contracts, closing at 1,015,594 contracts yesterday.

Babcock & Brown Helps NZDX Debt Raising Hit $1 Billion

New Zealand Exchange Limited (NZX) announced today the listing of a new issue of debt for Babcock & Brown Limited (Babcock & Brown) bringing the aggregate amount raised on the NZX Debt Market (NZDX) this year to $1.24 billion – 37% more than the amount raised on the NZDX for the first half of 2005.

Avanza Extends Its Membership On The Nordic Exchange

Swedish online broker Avanza, who is already a member on the Stockholm Stock Exchange, will also become member on the Helsinki Stock Exchange and on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. Avanza will have access to trade on the equity market as of June 19, 2006.

ABN AMRO Made A New Issuance Of Close End Certificates On CASE 30 Index

ABN AMRO issued a 500,000 close end certificates with a price of 7.14 Euro per certificate, worth 3,570,000 Euro, to be listed and traded on Borsa Italiana effective the 15th of June 2006. The certificates will mature after 4 years on June 18th, 2010.
