  • S&P Index Services: NYSE Closing Prices Update

    On June 1, 2005 trading was halted on the NYSE at approximately 3:50 pm, ten minutes before the normal closing time due to a communications problem. As a result, Standard & Poor's calculated the June 1, 2005 closing values for its U.S. indices on a best-efforts basis based on the closing price as provided by NYSE for NYSE-listed stocks.   • Record Month For SFE 30 Day Interbank Cash Rate Futures And Electricity Futures

    Sydney Futures Exchange experienced record trading volumes in both its 30 Day Interbank Cash Rate Futures contract and its Electricity Futures contract in the month of May. This is the fourth month in 2005 that the 30 Day Interbank Cash Rate Futures contract has experienced record volumes, and the first time for Electricity Futures since 2003.
