  • Traded Volume Grows 66.37% During First Semester And BM&F Launches New Products

    BM&F closed this year’s first semester with a global volume increase of 66.37% in comparison to the same period in 2006. From January to June 2007, 220.37 million contracts were traded against 132.46 million during the first six months of 2006. During the last six weeks, the Exchange averaged approximately two million contracts per day.

  • Montréal Exchange Trading Volumes For The Second Quarter And First Six Months Of 2007

    Montréal Exchange Inc. (MX) (TSX : MXX) reported today that its trading volume reached a total of 11.1 million contracts in the second quarter of 2007, an increase of 1.6% compared to the same period of 2006. For the first six months ended June 30th 2007, MX reported that total trading activity increased 13% from the same period of the previous year to reach a total of 23.1 million contracts traded on the MX market.

    CBOE Futures Exchange (CFE) announced that it has launched two new volatility index futures contracts on the CBOE Nasdaq-100 Volatility Index (ticker symbol VXN, futures symbol VN) and the CBOE Russell 2000 Volatility Index (ticker symbol RVX, futures symbol VR), beginning today, July 6, 2007, under licensing agreements with The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. and The Russell Investment Group.

  • Labuan International Financial Exchange Lists Second Exchangeable Sukuk By Khazanah

    The Labuan International Financial Exchange Inc. (LFX), listed the second Exchangeable Sukuk listing by Khazanah Nasional Berhad (Khazanah). The Sukuk was issued via its special purpose vehicle (SPV), Cherating Capital Ltd, with an offering size of USD850 million. The Sukuk, due in 2012, is exchangeable into ordinary shares of PLUS Expressways Berhad (PLUS Expressways), the largest expressway concessionaire in Malaysia in terms of toll receipts.
