  • CFTC Seeks Public Comment On A Proposal To Amend Regulations 3.12 And 3.31 To Extend The Period For Filing Termination Notices

    The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has approved for publication in the Federal Register a proposal (Proposal) to amend CFTC regulations 3.12 and 3.31 to extend the period during which a registered futures commission merchant, introducing broker, commodity trading advisor, commodity pool operator or leverage transaction merchant must file a notice with the National Futures Association to report the termination of an associated person or principal of the registered intermediary.

  • NYMEX Crosses One Million Contract Daily Volume Milestone On CME Globex®

    The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., a subsidiary of NYMEX Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: NMX), announced that it set daily volume records yesterday on the CME Globex electronic trading platform, including more than 1 million total contracts traded. Total contracts traded on CME Globex reached 1,039,413 surpassing the 993,324 on July 26. Natural gas futures totaled 150,031 exceeding the 137,562 contracts traded on January 31.
