National Stock Exchange Announces July 2007 ETF Assets Reach $497.3 Billion At Month-End, Up 39.3 Percent From Year Earlier

National Stock Exchange(R) (NSX(SM)) today announced that U.S. listed Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) assets reached $497.3 billion at the end of July 2007, up 39.3 percent from $356.9 billion at the end of July 2006. ETF notional trading volume totaled a record $1.4 billion in July 2007, approximately 24 percent of the total U.S. cash equity notional trading volume.

KCBT Sets New Membership Sales Record At $525,000 - KCBT Membership Sells For More Than $500,000 For The First Time

The Kansas City Board of Trade on Friday set another membership sales record with a sale at $525,000, topping the previous record of $465,000 set on April 3 of this year. Last year at this time, the record was less than half this level, at $240,000.

Minneapolis Grain Exchange Membership Values Reach $250,000

Two Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX or Exchange) memberships traded last Friday at the new record price of $250,000. Memberships, which are bought and sold in an auction-like format facilitated by Exchange staff, have increased dramatically in recent months — from $73,000 in January to the new record of $250,000.

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange Announces July Volume - “PHLX Posts Record Volume For Equity Options In July”

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) announced today that equity option volume in July reached a record high when 40,921,003 contracts traded. This represented a 117.55% increase compared to the same year-ago period when 18,810,223 contracts traded. Equity option volume in July increased 25.02% compared to the previous month when 32,731,306 contracts traded. Average daily volume in July for equity options also reached an all-time high of 1,948,619 contracts.

U.S. Futures Exchange To Offer Weekly Binary Options Based On Single Asset Performance - Contracts Including Oil, Gasoline, Gold, Silver And Euro Rate Will Be Listed October 15, 2007

U.S. Futures Exchange (USFE) announced today that it will offer weekly binary options, each with nine or more strikes, to let investors take positions on the performance of single assets including oil, gasoline, gold, silver and the euro. The contracts are valued at $1,000 and will provide independent, timely trading opportunities for retail customers beginning October 15.
