    The first OTC coal trades cleared at the European Energy Exchange were concluded on Wednesday, May 17 2006 – all brokered by Spectron, a leading energy broker. The deals, which are also understood to be the first cleared OTC coal trades done in Europe, were all API#2 CIF ARA transactions.
