ThaiDEX SET50 ETF To List On Thai Bourse On September 6

Thailand’s first equity exchange-traded fund (ETF), ThaiDEX SET50 ETF, will commence trading on The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) on September 6, 2007, using “TDEX” as its trading symbol, and is expected to be yet another attractive product for retail and institutional investors.

During August, the traded volume in Rofex totalled u$s 2,845 millions, surpassing by 43% the volume traded in the same period of the previous year. This is the second consecutive monthly record, as in July u$s 2,643 millions were traded. In spite of the gradual volatility fall registered last week, the reversal of a lower US dollar trend caused an increase in short-term US dollar futures trades in ROFEX, reaching a volume higher than u$s1, 000 million, as was informed by Joaquin Perez Fadol
NZX Operating Metrics - August 2007

Highlights Average daily trades were up 17 % at 2,604 and average daily value traded was up 11% at $142 million. The NZX 50 Index finished the month on 4119, up 17% since August last year. The index was down less than 1% at the end of the month on its opening August index value. Total capital raised on the NZX markets year to date is up 38% at $3.035 billion, compared with $2.2 billion for the same period in 2006.
