CBOT Fed Watch - January 26 Market Close

In advance of next week's Federal Open Market Committee meeting on January 31, the Chicago Board of Trade will be reporting daily rate change probabilities in the FOMC's federal funds target rate, as indicated by the CBOT 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract. The CBOT 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract is a key benchmark interest rate barometer that reflects the forward overnight effective rate for excess reserves that are traded among commercial banks in the U.S. federal funds market.

SEC: Options Exchanges To Begin Penny Quoting - Similar Move For Stocks Has Meant Better Prices For Investors

The Securities and Exchange Commission announced that today the six options exchanges began quoting certain options on Whole Food Market, Inc. (WFMI) in pennies. This important move marks the first time options were quoted in penny increments and represents the beginning of a six-month pilot in which series of 13 options classes will be quoted in pennies.

London Stock Exchange Group Offer Rejection - Response To Nasdaq Final Offer Level Of Acceptances

The Board of London Stock Exchange Group plc (the "Exchange") notes the announcement by Nasdaq that it has received acceptances representing only 0.62 per cent. of the issued ordinary share capital of the Exchange, excluding Nasdaq's own shareholding in the Exchange's ordinary shares of approximately 28.75 per cent. The Board also notes Nasdaq's announcement that it will not revise its offer on a Board recommendation.
