Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In S&P/TSX Canadian Indices

Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index changes: The unitholders of Countryside Power Income Fund (TSX:COU.UN) have accepted the $CDN9.60 cash per unit offer from Fort Chicago Energy Partners L.P. (TSX:FCE.UN). As a result, Countryside Power will be removed from the S&P/TSX SmallCap Index effective after the close on Tuesday, August 14, 2007.

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced that last week was the busiest trading week in its history as 27,866,804 contracts traded during the five trading days from Monday, August 6 through Friday, August 10, surpassing the previous high of 23.3 million contracts traded during the week of February 26 to March 2, 2007. CME Group Announces Workforce Reduction, Integration Update

SEC Announces $55 Million Fair Fund Distribution To Investors Injured In Banc One Investment Advisors Market Timing Fraud

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced the distribution of approximately $55.6 million in Fair Funds to more than 200,000 investors who were harmed by fraudulent market timing in certain Banc One mutual funds (One Group Funds). The Fair Fund resulted from a settled enforcement action in which Banc One Investment Advisors Corporation (BOIA) agreed to pay $10 million in disgorgement and $40 million in civil penalties to settle charges of unlawful market timing. CME Group, the world's largest and most diverse exchange, set a new options on futures volume record on August 10, 2007, when 4,282,604 options traded.
