The total value of shares traded for the week ending 26 November 2015 amounted to SAR 24.80 billion, increasing by 5.42% over the previous week; while total stock market capitalization reached SAR 1,658.71 billion at the end of this period, increasing by 2.67% over the previous week.

Amman Stock Exchange: Monday A Public Holiday For Census 2015

According to a communiqué issued by the Prime Minister on the occasion of the National Population Census for 2015, all ministries and public departments will be off on Monday, November 30, 2015. Accordingly, the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) will have a holiday on Monday, November 30, 2015.

ISDA And IIFM Publish Islamic Cross Currency Swap Standard

The International Swaps and Derivatives Association, Inc. (ISDA) and the International Islamic Financial Market (IIFM) yesterday announced publication of a new Islamic hedging product standard, the ISDA/IIFM Himaayah Min Taqallub As‘aar Assarf (Islamic Cross Currency Swap) for use in Islamic hedging transactions. The announcement was made at the IIFM 33rd Board of Directors meeting and workshop hosted by The National Commercial Bank at its Riyadh regional office.

EBA Provides Assessment Of Banks Pillar 3 Reports For 2015

The European Banking Authority (EBA) released today its assessment of the annual Pillar 3 reports of a sample of European banks, which relate to the 2014 financial year. This is the first report since the entry into force of the Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR) that assesses banks' compliance against the disclosure requirements laid down in CRR.
